About This Role

Little Love's is seeking an Early Childhood Teacher to join our growing team. This is a unique mentorship opportunity for someone who loves working with young children and wants to build a successful career in early childhood education. This is a growth position. No previous employment in childcare is required. We believe great teachers come from many different backgrounds. If you have a heart for children, a strong work ethic, and a desire to learn, we will provide the training, coaching, and support to help you become an outstanding early childhood educator.

What You'll Do

  • Provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for young children.
  • Build positive relationships with children and their families.
  • Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
  • Aid in planning and implementing age-appropriate learning activities.
  • Supervise children during indoor play, outdoor play, meals, rest time, and transitions.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
  • Observe and document children's progress.
  • Communicate professionally with families and coworkers.
  • Work collaboratively with the Director and teaching team.
  • Follow all Arizona licensing, health, and safety requirements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Genuine love for working with young children.
  • Professional, dependable, and punctual.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to accept coaching and feedback.
  • Ability to pass all required background checks.
  • Ability to meet Arizona requirements for employment in a licensed childcare center.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively participate in classroom and outdoor activities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience caring for children through babysitting, nannying, volunteering, church programs, coaching, or similar activities.
  • Coursework in education, child development, psychology, or a related field.
  • Currently pursuing a college degree.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).
