About This Role
Little Love's is seeking an Early Childhood Teacher to join our growing team. This is a unique mentorship opportunity for someone who loves working with young children and wants to build a successful career in early childhood education. This is a growth position. No previous employment in childcare is required. We believe great teachers come from many different backgrounds. If you have a heart for children, a strong work ethic, and a desire to learn, we will provide the training, coaching, and support to help you become an outstanding early childhood educator.
What You'll Do
- Provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for young children.
- Build positive relationships with children and their families.
- Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
- Aid in planning and implementing age-appropriate learning activities.
- Supervise children during indoor play, outdoor play, meals, rest time, and transitions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
- Observe and document children's progress.
- Communicate professionally with families and coworkers.
- Work collaboratively with the Director and teaching team.
- Follow all Arizona licensing, health, and safety requirements.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Genuine love for working with young children.
- Professional, dependable, and punctual.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to accept coaching and feedback.
- Ability to pass all required background checks.
- Ability to meet Arizona requirements for employment in a licensed childcare center.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively participate in classroom and outdoor activities.
Nice To Haves
- Experience caring for children through babysitting, nannying, volunteering, church programs, coaching, or similar activities.
- Coursework in education, child development, psychology, or a related field.
- Currently pursuing a college degree.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
