Early Childhood Teacher - Little Scholars

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher with a strong commitment to early childhood education to work at our Little Scholars Site. Join us in fostering a love for learning and shaping the future generation!

Little Scholars is a mixed-age early childhood classroom that operates in conjunction with the MOMentum Network, a nonprofit supporting single moms seeking higher education. Little Scholars is located at 1152 Lincoln Park Lane, Chattanooga, TN 37403.

Pay

• Start at $11/hour with a high school education and little experience
• $13/hour with a Child Development Associate (CDA) certificate
• Up to $18-19/hour with additional education or experience

Schedule

Full-time, Monday - Friday

Responsibilities

• Keep children safe and engaged during play, learning, and daily routines
• Lead fun activities that help kids grow intellectually, physically, and socially
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom
• Work closely with other teachers, parents, and volunteers
• Monitor children’s health needs and provide assistance as needed

Requirements

• At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED
• Prior experience working with children in a classroom or group setting
• Patience, compassion, and creativity for working with young children
• Reliability and ability to work well with team members and parents
