Responsibilities

• Foster a cohesive teaching team
• Oversee the curriculum
• Handle daily operational tasks of the classroom
• Create age-appropriate classroom activities based on early learning standards and developmentally appropriate practices
• Mentor and guide teaching team success
• Develop individual and group activities tailored to children's ages
• Maintain regular communication with parents
• Ensure compliance with all center policies and state regulations
• Promote a healthy classroom environment
• Supervise teacher assistants and classroom volunteers
• Maintain accurate records, forms, and files
• Establish a personal professional development plan

Requirements

• At least 2 years of professional child care experience
• Strong oral and written communication skills and fundamental computer proficiency
• A high level of energy and the capacity to collaborate effectively with others (staff, children, and parents)
• Thorough understanding of child development
• Current Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certification
• Able to pass a comprehensive background check and health screening
• Bachelor's Degree in early childhood education or a related field, with a minimum of 30 Credits in ECE
• The ability to undertake frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools, or controls, converse, and hear voices at various volumes may be necessary. Additionally, the position may require kneeling, bending, squatting, or crawling
• Specific vision abilities are required, including the capacity to see objects clearly at close range and at a distance, perceive colors, possess peripheral vision, and have depth perception
• Outstanding leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
