Responsibilities

  • Facilitating one-hour life-skills sessions for groups of 10-15 students in grades K-3, addressing public speaking, concentration, feedback, and other foundational competencies
  • Cooking daily individual and small-group coaching conversations that maintain progress toward weekly app targets, leveraging Coachbot data, Alpha's motivational tools (campus currency, leaderboards), and the rapport you establish with each student
  • Delivering the Test2Pass (Alpha's competency-based evaluation) for each life skill, then coaching students who do not pass until mastery is achieved
  • Engaging kindergarteners through songs, narratives, physical activity, and playfulness, while maintaining rigorous, quantifiable expectations for second and third graders
  • Serving as the encouraging adult children are excited to see at arrival AND the adult who will not accept minimal effort

Requirements

  • Willing to work on-site at an Alpha campus in Phoenix, AZ; Oklahoma City, OK; Tulsa, OK; Nashville, TN; Austin, TX; Fort Worth, TX; Houston, TX; or Park City (Salt Lake City), UT (relocation support provided)
  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of direct experience working with children ages 4 to 9 (early-elementary instruction, coaching, tutoring, camp counseling, or youth program facilitation)
  • A concrete example you can articulate of motivating a young child toward a challenging objective: the objective itself, your actions, and the result
  • Able to participate in a paid training program at our Austin, TX campus
  • Comfortable allowing AI to deliver instructional content while you concentrate on motivation and life-skills development
  • Authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship

Qualifications

  • Background in youth sports instruction, children's theater, camp facilitation, Montessori or progressive early education, or after-school programming where you held direct accountability for motivating young children toward defined objectives
  • Innate performer's energy with young children—the capacity to hold a room of kindergarteners through vocal dynamics, humor, and physical engagement
  • Demonstrated success transforming reserved or reluctant young learners into confident, engaged contributors

Skills

  • Experience as an early-elementary educator who excelled at circle-time activities, a camp counselor for young children, a youth sports instructor, a children's theater performer, or anyone capable of commanding a room of kindergarteners through vocal presence, play, and sheer enthusiasm
