Early Childhood Special Education Teacher (Multiple Positions)

This individual must have a genuine interest in working with children and their families. **ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (RESPONSIBILITIES)** Develops and implements effective treatment plans in coordination with other team members. Participates in the IFSP/IEP Team. Works with the transdisciplinary team to achieve the educational and developmental goals of the child. Maintains records as required. Conducts developmental assessments. Completes required task in a timely manner. Performs other duties as assigned. Ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds in person. Ability to determine and identify items and children in the periphery, near, and far visual fields. **SKILLS** Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Works effectively in a team environment. Ability to work effectively with parents, children, public, and other professionals. Ability to perform work tasks within the physical demand requirements as outlined below. FLSA CLASSIFICATION:**Exempt (220 or 201 days- full-time) or Non-Exempt (156 days- part-time) WORK PACE:** Self-paced, requiring the ability to think and act quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced, demanding work environment. WORK ENVIRONMENT:** This position operates in family homes, and community settings as needed. Physical Demands Sitting: 6 - 7 hours in an 8-hour work shift; may occasionally alternate to standing or walking. Standing: 1 - 2 hours in an 8-hour work shift. Alternates to sitting on a frequent basis Walking: 1/2 - 1 hour in an 8-hour work shift.
