About the role
Soccer Shots - Lafayette is the #1 Children's Soccer program in the country. We only hire the best instructors to work with our children, focusing on developing basic soccer skills, character skills, social growth, cognitive growth, physical development, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles.
Responsibilities
- Lead groups of 8-10 kids for a 25–40-minute class.
- Arrive to class on time and attend all scheduled classes.
- Utilize provided class curriculum, designed by education specialists.
- Keep accurate attendance and complete after-session report.
- All equipment needed for classes is provided.
Requirements
- Safety-conscious, with #1 priority being the safety of children under your care.
- Caring, engaging with each child through specific and positive affirmation.
- Organized, planning ahead and maintaining a systematic routine.
- Responsible, committed to doing what is expected as the instructor and representing Soccer Shots.
- Energetic, bringing Soccer Shots to life by creating a fun and exciting atmosphere.
- Prior experience working with children ages 2-8 (former teacher, daycare worker, or tutor).
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children ages 2-8 (former teacher, daycare worker, or tutor).
- Pass a Louisiana Department of Education and Louisiana State Police background check.
- Successfully complete abuse training.
Skills
- Soccer experience.
- Positive communication skills.
- Ability to manage a classroom effectively.
- Knowledge of early learning curriculum.

Pay
Details TBD based on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
- Class sessions are typically between the hours of 9:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. on Monday's thru Friday's.
- Most class sessions are 2-3 classes scheduled consecutively.
- Can only work 2 or 3 days a week, schedules are consistent for a semester (16 weeks).
- Schedules are consistent: you will work classes at the same time and location each week for a semester (16 weeks).
- Season schedules typically follow school district calendars.
