Early Childhood Preschool Teacher

About This Role

The Riverfront Children's Center, a non profit childcare program, is looking for enthusiastic qualified staff members to work with Early Childhood classrooms with children ages 0 to 6 years of age.

What You'll Do

Working with another Child Care Teacher in the classroom you will:

• Lesson plan with co-teacher using CT Early Learning Developmental Standards
• Interacting in a positive and encouraging manner with children
• Maintain a safe and healthy classroom environment
• Engage children in play-based learning through large and small group and one-on-one activities
• Family engagement, communicate daily with parents

Requirements

• Current center-based preschool CDA with 12 ECE credits, and enrolled in a program that will lead to an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in ECE or related field to be completed within three years of the time of hire
• Associates Degree in ECE or relevant field with 12 ECE credits
• Bachelors Degree in ECE or relevant field with 12 ECE credits
• Candidates must pass required state background check
• Demonstrated experience working with children or excellent customer service
• Upon hire must have documentation of a physical examination, to be repeated every two years
