About the role

The Camdenton R-III School District seeks an early childhood paraprofessional to support teachers and manage classroom activities, supervise children during play, meals, and rest, and reinforce lessons.

Responsibilities

• Aids with play-oriented curriculum, sets up learning centers, and reinforces lessons initiated by the teacher.
• Maintains classroom and playground safety, assists with personal care (restroom/hygiene), and ensures a clean, disinfected environment.
• Helps with daily routines, prepares communication folders, creates materials, and aids with data collection or progress monitoring.
• Implements behavioral plans, minimizes disruptions, and encourages positive social interactions.
• Possesses patience, compassion, and the ability to connect with young children.
• Ability to stand for long periods, walk, bend, and lift or transfer students.

Qualifications

• 60 hours college credit or completion of the Para-Pro Assessment Test.
• Pass all background checks and screenings.

General Requirements

• Reports to: Director of Student Services and Building Principal.
• Strict adherence to FERPA and privacy regulations regarding student information.

Terms of Employment

• 180.5 days - 7.5 hrs / day (does not include a 30 minute lunch).
• Pay Range: Starting at $17.07 (plus credit for up to 7 years of relevant experience).
