Early Childhood Learning Teacher Assistant
Healthy Kids Programs is hiring an Early Childhood Learning Teacher Assistant for our program at Taconic Hills Elementary School in Craryville, NY for the 2026–2027 school year.

This part-time, non-exempt position is ideal for individuals who bring energy, kindness, and patience to each day and enjoy encouraging children's curiosity, creativity, and confidence. The role is especially well-suited for parents seeking a school-aligned schedule, education majors or future teachers, and retirees who enjoy mentoring children.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities, as well as homework completion.
- Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and act as a positive role model for children in the program.
- Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
- Support program operations, which may include attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.
Requirements
- 18 years or older and hold a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Preferably 1 year of experience working with kids under 13.
- Medically cleared of any communicable diseases including TB.
- Must be warm, friendly, and upbeat with exceptional people skills; professional, reliable, and prompt.
- Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, carry (up to 50 lbs.), and keep up with the children.

Pay
$15.50 - $16.00 per hour.
Schedule
6:30 am - 6:30 pm (part-time).
