Early Childhood Lead Teacher

About the Role

We are seeking a Lead Teacher for our Toddler and Preschool programs. The Lead Teacher coordinates the daily operations of assigned classes, plans and presents educational and recreational activities, and evaluates childcare in a safe environment. You will work directly with children and parents daily to provide quality customer service and foster a nurturing, dynamic learning environment.

• Feel a sense of accomplishment as you experience the laughter and wonder of children participating in activities you planned.
• Observe children’s interests and collaborate with other teachers to develop creative, engaging curriculum ideas.
• Communicate with parents daily, sharing their children’s latest adventures and achievements through mobile apps and personal discussions.
• Engage with other childcare professionals and continue to grow in your profession.

Requirements

• Associate or Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education or related field (preferred).
• Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.
• Minimum of 2 years of previous experience.
• Ability to learn and implement Goddard curriculum and assessment systems.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills with children, parents, and faculty.
• Ability to multi-task, work cooperatively, and manage challenges professionally.
• Completion of required trainings for the State of Tennessee and Goddard.
• Meets background check eligibility and additional state requirements.
