Early Childhood Instructor
About the role
The Early Childhood Instructor is responsible for providing educational and developmental activities that promote learning and socialization among children aged 3-5 years old.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum based on state standards.
- Lead group activities and small group instruction sessions.
- Assess children’s progress and provide feedback to parents and teachers.
- Maintain a safe and nurturing environment for all children.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure continuity in care and education.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Valid Illinois teaching certificate or ability to obtain one within six months.
- Experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
Qualifications
- Strong commitment to early childhood education principles.
- Passion for working with young children and their families.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing situations.
Skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
