Early Childhood Individual Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate, steady, and team-oriented Individual Assistant in Lund’s Early Childhood Program (LECP). Our Early Childhood Program, rated 5-STAR, provides exceptional care and education for children aged six weeks through Pre-K.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized support tailored to nutrition intake, communication, and supporting developing relationships with peers, always centering the child’s dignity, safety, and well-being.
• Learn simple sign language.
• Maintain continuous supervision of children.
• Help shape a classroom environment that is clean, healthy, and nurturing.

Requirements

This position is part-time, 25 hours a week, in-person at our South Burlington center. It is a one-year, temporary, grant-funded position with an anticipated start date of July 6th, contingent on grant-approval. The rate of pay for this position is $24/hr.

Qualifications

• A Childhood Development Associate (CDA) Credential or an Associate’s degree in early childhood (or related field) and/or one year of experience working with young children is preferred.
