Early Childhood Floater Teacher

About the role

The Solomon Schechter Day School of Bergen County is a warm, inclusive Jewish day school educating children from Early Childhood through Eighth Grade with a vigorous dual curriculum in general and Judaic studies. We seek an energetic, creative, and supportive Early Childhood Assistant "Floater" Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher and students in all areas of the curriculum
• Foster students' personal and academic growth
• Work in a collaborative, warm, academic environment

Requirements

• Energetic and creative personality
• Ability to foster students' personal and academic growth
• Experience working with young children (optional)
• Hebrew language skills are a plus but not necessary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or related field
• Experience working with young children (optional)
• Passionate about Jewish values and practices

Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
• Knowledge of early childhood education principles

Benefits

• Competitive salary range starting at $33,000-35,000, commensurate with experience
