Long-term substitute position ( 1.0 FTE ) beginning August 24, 2026 and ending December 23, 2026, with the possibility of an extension.
Responsibilities
- Understand ECFE goals, objectives, and philosophy.
- Stay current with trends, curriculum models, resources, and methods in the field of early childhood and family education.
- Work cooperatively with program and administrative staff, program coordinator, and peers in the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of the program.
- Prepare and implement developmentally appropriate instruction for all classes.
- Attend all scheduled staff meetings, professional development, planning sessions, courses, and conferences.
- Develop knowledge about community agencies and services; assist families in finding appropriate resources.
- Assist and support ECFE public relation events, including the planning and implementation of special event activities.
- Support colleagues in all phases of the program by conferring on a regular basis.
- Actively encourage and embrace each member of the school community.
- Continually work to understand your own assumptions and biases and how they impact the learning environment.
- Plan and implement parent/child interaction programming.
- Provide Early Childhood and Family Education programs and services for children birth to pre-kindergarten.
- Support a continuum of programs to promote the healthy growth and development of students and families through collaboration within the district and the community.
Requirements
- B.A. or B.S. degree (background of professional study in Early Childhood Education, Family Life Education, or Child Development preferred).
- Teaching License (Parent Educator License preferred).
- Master’s degree in Education preferred.
