Early Childhood Educator

About This Role

This Early Childhood Educator opportunity at Little Tots Academy serves Mixed / All Ages and requires completed early childhood education college credits. Based in Richmond, VT, candidates bring experience in early childhood education and development.

What You'll Do

• Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
• Foster social and emotional development through positive reinforcement and guidance
• Develop and implement classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards
• Lead by example; encourage teaching team success through modeling and coaching
• Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive and emotional growth
• Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences
• Follow all state regulations and company policies
• Ability to have fun

Requirements

• A high energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment
• A strong understanding of child development
• Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification, orientation training, and mandating reporting training
• Must clear full background check to include fingerprinting
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• A minimum of 1 year of professional child care experience
