About the role
Supports Alpha campuses in Austin, TX or Scottsdale (Phoenix), AZ with relocation assistance. Full-time position.
Responsibilities
- Provide coaching to Guides and students through performance metrics, classroom observation, and direct input, maintaining accountability to quantifiable objectives for both groups.
- Lead one-hour live workshops with K-3 students focusing on life skills such as public speaking, concentration, teamwork, resilience, accountability, and feedback exchange.
- Conduct individual and small-group motivation conversations linking each child's aspirations and interests to tangible academic advancement.
- Create and refine playbooks translating your most effective practices into replicable frameworks for other Guides to implement reliably.
- Teach Guides these playbooks and demonstrate exemplary facilitation to ensure quality remains consistent as the team expands.
Qualifications
- Able to work on-site at an Alpha campus in Austin, TX or Scottsdale (Phoenix), AZ; support for relocation is available.
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, Organizational Leadership, Child Development, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with elementary-aged children (approximately ages 5 to 9).
- Track record leading a team of 5 or more individuals, with authority to make hiring and performance-based removal decisions.
- Background building, launching, or substantially expanding a program, team, school, or initiative from scratch rather than taking over an established one.
- Willing to work in an educational environment that rejects conventional teaching methodologies.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Nice-to-have Requirements
- Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
- Demonstrated history leveraging metrics, dashboards, or analytics to identify issues and produce measurable gains.
- Experience coaching or managing other adults to achieve measurable results, beyond executing tasks personally.
- Experience in youth development, camp leadership, competitive coaching, tutoring, or enrichment settings where motivation played a key role.
- Confidence and proficiency facilitating sessions or speaking publicly before groups of young children.

$75 USD/hour, which equates to $150,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year.
