The Early Childhood Education Center Director leads and inspires a dedicated team to provide an exceptional learning environment for young children. Responsibilities
- Provide visionary leadership for all center operations, ensuring a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment.
- Lead and manage all staff, including hiring, training, mentoring, and evaluating performance; provide clear work direction and foster professional growth.
- Oversee and guide the implementation of age-appropriate curriculum, ensuring alignment with best practices in Early Childhood Education and Child Development.
- Manage daily program operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and facility maintenance.
- Develop and monitor the center’s budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility and efficient resource utilization.
- Ensure full regulatory compliance with all local, state, and federal licensing standards and health and safety regulations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with families through effective communication, fostering a collaborative partnership in children’s development.
- Drive strategic planning initiatives, identifying opportunities for program enhancement and center growth.
- Cultivate a positive and collaborative culture, empowering staff through effective team leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education Administration, or a related field.
- Significant childcare management experience, demonstrating successful leadership in an early childhood setting.
- Proven track record in staff management, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
- Expertise in curriculum development and implementation.
- Deep knowledge of Early Childhood Education principles and Child Development theories.
- Understanding and application of best practices in program management and center operations.
- Proficiency in budget management and financial resource allocation.
- Ability to navigate and ensure adherence to regulatory compliance standards.
- Strong communication skills for engaging parents, staff, and community members empathetically.
- Ability to inspire and motivate teams through strong leadership skills.
- Experience in strategic planning and execution.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current Director Certification as required by state licensing.
- Master’s degree in a relevant field.
Work Conditions
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Stands, walks, sits, and bends frequently throughout the day.
- Interacts with children at their eye level, including sitting on the floor.
- Works in a dynamic early childhood environment with varying noise levels.
