Early Childhood - Assistant Teachers

Responsibilities
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing activities in accordance with curriculum objectives, developmentally appropriate practice, and program philosophy
- Supervise children in the classrooms and outdoor spaces
- Help establish and maintain order in the classroom
- Maintain open communication with parents and co-workers
- Maintain clean and safe indoor and outdoor spaces
- Help maintain and complete required documentation and reports
- Maintain professional appearance, mannerisms, and support the center's philosophy and educational objectives
- Engage in ongoing staff development, trainings, and staff meetings
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum 1 year of childcare experience
- Knowledge of child development
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- High energy and creativity
- Able to work as part of a team
- Must be able to pass NJ Licensing background checks
Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- First Aid & CPR certification
- CDA (Child Development Associate), Associate's Degree in ECE or related field, or ECE credits

About Us
Little Wonders Childcare & Learning Center is a Grow NJ Kids rated center located in scenic Warren County, New Jersey. Our certified and experienced teachers provide a quality childcare program for students ages 6 weeks to 12 years. Following a state-approved curriculum aligned with both New Jersey Birth to Three Early Learning Standards and The New Jersey Department of Education's Preschool Teaching and Learning Standards, our staff provides students with opportunities to grow and explore across multiple domains of learning and development.
