This Early Childhood - Assistant Teacher position at Little Sprouts Nursery School in Beloit, WI offers $12 – $13/Hr. Candidates should bring relevant professional experience and a reliable work ethic in a childcare facility environment.

We're looking for dependable and enthusiastic assistants to help in our classrooms at Little Sprouts Nursery & Preschool. We're particularly in need of infant assistant teachers and are offering a $500 bonus for the right candidates. If you're a team player who is hardworking and reliable, we'd love to hear from you!

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with Teachers and the Director to develop engaging curricula activities that promote children's participation and learning.
• Take the lead in maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked classroom environment.
• Establish and maintain regular communication with parents through informal discussions and written progress reports.
• Model good behavior and encourage children to develop self-help skills and good hygiene practices.
• Ensure a smooth transition from home to child care center, supporting children's daily routines and needs.
• Adhere to all center policies and state regulations.
• Embark on a personal professional development journey to continually improve the quality of care and education we provide.

Requirements

• Must have the energy and enthusiasm to engage with our children and team!
• Able to work effectively with others to achieve common goals.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, as well as basic computer skills.
• A deep understanding of child development principles.
• Superb leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Current Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certification, or a willingness to obtain it.
• Must successfully complete a full background check.
• Must pass a health screening.
• Candidates must have completed high school or equivalency and be at least 18 years old.
• Must have completed the certificates for Introduction to the Childcare Profession and Skills and Strategies for the Childcare Profession, or equivalent coursework.
• We'll reimburse these courses after the probationary period has been completed.
• We may give preference to candidates who have previous experience working in licensed childcare settings.
