Eagle Lake Facilities Manager
About the role
The Facilities Manager shall serve The Navigators and fulfill the responsibilities listed below in the spirit of The Navigators calling, values and purpose: To advance the Gospel of Jesus and His kingdom into the nations through spiritual generations of laborers living and discipling among the lost. This position leads the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and improvement of Eagle Lake's physical property. This leader manages and develops the Facilities team. This role must live on-site at Eagle Lake Camps year-round.
Responsibilities
The Facilities Manager will be responsible for the following essential functions:
- Capital Projects & Strategic Leadership (40%): Lead planning and execution of major capital construction and infrastructure initiatives, manage project budgets, contractors, permitting, timelines, quality control, and stakeholder communication.
- Team Leadership & Operational Partnership (25%): Lead and develop the Facilities team, partner closely with the Overnight Camp Manager, Day Camps Director, and Director of Operations to ensure facilities support camp operations.
- Property & Asset Stewardship (20%): Oversee maintenance for buildings, grounds, utilities, and roads, facilitate fleet vehicles, heavy equipment, facilities and maintenance equipment, and preventative maintenance systems.
- Budget & Vendor Management (10%): Manage annual facilities operating budgets, prioritize maintenance and capital expenditures, manage vendor relationships and obtain competitive bids.
- Ministry Partner Development (5%): Raise and maintain personal ministry support in accordance with organizational requirements.
Additional responsibilities include participating in Navigators’ on-site learning and development events, submitting time worked on a weekly basis, and other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- Spiritual: Belief in and adherence to the Statement of Faith and Mission of The Navigators.
- Experience: 3-5 years of facilities, construction, operations, or project management leadership experience, with experience leading capital construction or renovation projects and managing budgets and vendors.
- Technical Knowledge & Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, strong organizational and project management skills, demonstrated ability to lead teams, and strong commitment to safety and operational excellence.
- Communication & Leadership: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including verbal & written, to create understanding and build strong working relationships.
- Education: HS Diploma or GED equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree or college coursework preferred.
Skills
Preferred skills include:
- Camp, hospitality, higher education, nonprofit, or ministry experience.
- Construction management background.
- Knowledge of building systems and infrastructure.
- Experience managing preventative maintenance programs.
- Experience with large-scale property operations.
- Experience with heavy machinery, tractors, construction equipment, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, and vehicle repair.

Pay
The compensation range for this position is $57,784.00 - $85,676.94 annual, with the requirement to raise and maintain personal ministry support in accordance with organizational requirements (35% of annual compensation).
Schedule
This is a full-time position, working 40 hours a week and on-call, with housing provided and the requirement to live at Eagle Lake Camp year-round.
