E&I Maintenance Associate
About the role
Sylvamo, a major pulp and paper producer, is seeking Electrical & Instrumentation Technicians for the Eastover, SC Mill. The ideal candidate will assist journeyman-level EIs in routine maintenance work and perform tasks independently.
Responsibilities
- Electrical circuit troubleshooting & repair
- Conduit & wire installation
- Lighting repair
- PLC troubleshooting & repair
- Drive troubleshooting & repair
- Instrumentation & control valve calibration, troubleshooting & repair
- Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) work
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Basic computer skills
- Able to function in a team environment
- One year experience in any of the following Maintenance Skill Areas: ELECTRICAL, INSTRUMENTATION, OR HVAC
- OR One year vocational/technical education in the Instrumentation Electrical Disciplines: ELECTRICAL, INSTRUMENTATION, OR HVAC
- Willingness to undergo a drug screen, submit an official transcript, and submit to periodic drug screens
- Ability to work any shift and/or a rotating shift schedule
- Availability to work overtime, holidays, and weekends
- Wear required safety equipment
- Experience operating or working in industrial conditions
Qualifications
- Associate degree in any of the IP Core Maintenance skills or related disciplines (Instrumentation or Electrical)
- Relevant work experience in an industrial environment
- Strong math/physics understanding
- Instrumentation background on the Instrumentation Electrical side

Pay
The starting pay rate is $33.24 - $35.52, with opportunities for progression.
