Location: Odessa / Dallas / Houston / Remote Type: Full Time General Information/Job Summary Prepare and take ownership for cost estimating of bids and project proposals for data center construction/electrical. The right candidate can identify risk, opportunities, and maintain a winning strategy. Responsibilities/Competencies Prepare detailed estimates in accordance with the scope of work, data center blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare quantity take-offs, determining manpower, equipment requirements, material items and subcontractorsSolicit quotes from material and equipment suppliers, subcontractors, and specified manufacturersDistributes and maintains control of bid documentsEstablish construction schedulesIdentifies special requirements for weather protection, cranes, hoists, temporary facilities and services or any/all other indirect cost associated with projectsEnsure that all bid forms are completed and properly executedReviews labor costs and applicable licensing requirements,Schedules and conducts bid review meeting with the Division Manager, Estimating Manager, and/or business line management to finalize bid, markup and bid strategiesCoordinate with other employees during bid process on large proposals Requirements 1 or more years experience with data center electrical and instrumentation estimating / 3 or more years of industrial electrical experience.Competitive bid experience with data center projects or in petro-chemical, gas processing, refining and other heavy industrial facilities. The ideal candidate will have a mix of both.Electrical and Instrumentation field experience highly preferredAdvanced knowledge or estimating strategies and techniquesAbility to conceptualize estimates without complete informationThorough understanding of construction industry practices, processes, and standards and their impact on project activitiesKnowledge of estimating software programsOccasional travel requiredGood written and verbal communication and interpersonal skillsProfessional, ethical, and team player willing to grow with the company
