E-Commerce Team Member

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prioritize orders as first in first out daily.
• Package orders to ensure they arrive undamaged and process them accurately with the correct shipping address at the lowest possible cost.
• Verify order fulfilment within three business days and monitor problematic orders to ensure resolutions are achieved promptly.
• List all items accurately and comprehensively with no typographical, grammatical, or spelling errors.
• Create listings with attention-grabbing titles and informative descriptions that minimize customer inquiries.
• Photograph items using digital cameras, smartphones, and tablets, ensuring clear and accurate representations.
• Edit photographs using computer software as needed.
• Identify and label sellable items, sort them by category, and position them for photography and listing.
• Maintain organization of department shelving and storage by storing listed items, removing unlisted items, and keeping the workspace properly labeled.
• Research and test items to ensure accurate descriptions and appropriate pricing.
• Work with a diverse group of individuals to achieve department productivity goals and personal development objectives.
• Suggest creative solutions to improve operational workflow and enhance team performance.
• Oversee the training and operations of interns, focusing on their professional development and departmental goals.
• Handle direct customer communication professionally and in a timely manner.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• High school graduate or GED preferred.
• Experience with computers, collecting, antiques, buying and selling on auction sites, and customer service.
• Able to read and understand documents such as time cards, policy manuals, and online sales listings.
• Able to write routine reports and descriptive paragraphs.
• Able to communicate effectively with employees and customers.
• General math skills potentially including calculation of refunds, creation of shipping estimates, and measurement of item and package dimensions.
