About the role
Select and gather products for customers' online orders efficiently, with attention to freshness and quality. Assemble orders, process coupons and payment, and deliver and load orders into customers' cars during pickup. Provide a positive customer service experience that encourages repeat online shopping while demonstrating the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.
Responsibilities
- Assemble customers' online orders, including processing coupons and payment.
- Deliver and load orders into customers' cars upon arrival for pickup.
- Receive customers' orders from Order Selectors and store products in optimal temperature zones.
- Initiate and complete the selection process for online orders, following directions in the note section.
- Ensure quality and freshness of all items chosen for orders.
- Communicate with customers via a portable phone in a professional and timely manner.
- Retrieve orders from all staging locations, verify accuracy, and load them into customers' cars.
- Process orders through the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Follow policies and procedures to determine appropriate substitutions for out-of-stock items.
- Scan and bag orders while adhering to all bagging standards.
- Communicate substitutions or exceptions to customers at pickup.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of staging areas and equipment.
- Report pricing, scanning, item location discrepancies, and invalid temperature types to the e-Commerce supervisor.
- Inspect equipment and notify the e-Commerce supervisor or management of needed repairs.
- Perform required opening and closing procedures.
- Learn and adapt to new and improved processes.
- Assist in training new e-Commerce team members.
- Meet or exceed productivity standards.
- Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults.
Requirements
- Ability to work without supervision.
- Ability to read shelf tags.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Basic math skills (counting, addition, and subtraction).
- Ability to work cooperatively in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
- Ability to manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational, and cooperative manner.
- Ability to act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
- Ability to follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve issues.
- Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Qualifications
- Any experience in a production-oriented or warehouse environment, stocking shelves, or as a cashier.
- Ability to meet or exceed customer expectations for ease of shopping, variety, freshness, and cleanliness.
- Adherence to local, state, and federal laws, food safety procedures, and company guidelines.
