About The Role
The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) is a no-fee program designed to assist men and women in completing their rehabilitation programs. The organization values its employees greatly, recognizing their contributions to maintaining and enhancing the effectiveness of its programs.
Responsibilities
- Select high-value merchandise for sale on the ecommerce platform and ensure physical stores have a steady supply of collectible merchandise.
- Test items for functionality or authenticity before posting (e.g., electronics, jewelry).
- Use third-party research software, Tera Peak, to manage listings and shipping using software like Sure Done and Ship Station.
- Photograph items for sale on auction websites.
- Handle customer support via phone and email, providing timely responses.
- Follow up on all orders with customers in real time.
- Maintain daily posting quotas and meet weekly and monthly sales targets set by the supervisor.
- Collaborate with the District Sales Manager, E-Commerce Specialist Associate, and team members to manage the ecommerce business effectively.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrated competency in relevant skills through training and/or experience.
- Ability to read, write, and understand both written and verbal instructions.
Physical Demands
- Sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist intermittently or continuously.
- Grasp, push, pull objects and move heavy items such as household and office furniture, packages, and bulk items.
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Perform various repetitive motion tasks.
Schedule
The stores operate 7 days a week. Work schedules are determined by management and associates must be flexible to cover shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays. The Salvation Army will comply with all governmental orders and any contractual obligations related to COVID-19 safety measures, including mandatory vaccination of staff, if required. Exemptions from these requirements may be considered on religious or medical grounds when available.
