Dzongkha Interpreter

About the role

LanguageLine Solutions is hiring a Dzongkha-English Phone Interpreter to work remotely from your home. This is an independent contractor position and not eligible for employee benefits.

Responsibilities

• Handle interpreting sessions promptly and professionally.
• Render accurate and concise interpretations between Dzongkha and English speakers.
• Speak clearly and politely in both languages.
• Maintain a professional demeanor during interpreting sessions.
• Stay calm and neutral during emotionally charged calls.
• Follow client instructions and adhere to protocol.
• Understand and communicate effectively in various industries.
• Adapt to LLS technology enhancements.
• Work flexible hours to fit your schedule.

Requirements

• Fluency in Dzongkha and English.
• Cultural competency and regional accent awareness.
• Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive topics and emergencies.
• Education or work experience in language-related fields.
• At least 18 years old.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and write requested languages (highly preferred).

Pay
