About the role
We are currently seeking a hardworking and dependable DZ Truck Driver to join our team in the Sudbury, Ontario area. This full-time, permanent role is ideal for a safety-conscious, reliable individual who takes pride in their truck and their work.
Responsibilities
- Perform mandatory pre- and post-vehicle inspections
- Constantly monitor vehicle fitness and ever-changing conditions
- Maintain accurate electronic hours-of-service logs and vehicle inspections
- Operate company equipment safely and efficiently
- Take direction and communicate verbally as a team player
- Display professionalism toward our company and customers
- Work evenings and weekends as required to meet operational demands
- Maintain a clean and tidy work environment and equipment, both interior and exterior
- Work in accordance with all internal, client, and regulated health and safety policies, procedures, and regulations, including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
- Travel to job sites across Northern Ontario, including occasional out-of-town assignments with overnight stays
Requirements
- Valid DZ (preference given to AZ) class driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience operating a triaxle or other related driving experience
- Successfully passed comprehensive pre-employment third-party testing (drug and alcohol testing, Criminal Background Check (CPIC), and any other contractor-imposed requirements)
- Knowledgeable and respectful of the Highway Traffic Act and municipal bylaws
- Ability to transport material with attention to detail and emphasis on safety
- High school diploma or equivalent

Pay
Base compensation: $27.00 – $31.00 per hour. Starting pay is based on skills, experience, and qualifications.
