Dye Line Operator - 3rd Shift

About the Role

Mohawk is looking for a Dye Line Operator in the Dalton, Ga area. In this role, you will be operating dye lines.

Responsibilities

• Identify Tank Runs
• Identify & verify filters are clean and clean as needed
• Monitor PLCs, computer screens & all set points
• Adjust Dye Line speeds as needed
• Monitor J boxes have enough product to run continuously
• Watch carpet for defects that might cause problems printing
• Keep an eye on Dyeing schedule for change over, etc.
• Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision
• Follow all established standard operating procedures
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary
• Perform other tasks assigned by management

Requirements

• Three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• High school graduate or GED equivalency preferred
• Prior experience working in a Dyeing department required, and/or equivalent combination of on the job training and work experience
• Reads and writes in standard English and proficient performing basic math calculations such as addition and subtraction
• Successful completion of all required health and environmental safety training
• May be required to use PC and other department specific database systems

• Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations

Physical Demands

• Frequently required to reach, handle, stand, walk, sit and stoop
• Occasionally required to kneel
• Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds frequently throughout an 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shift

Schedule

Must be able to work 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts either day or night, weekdays or weekends as scheduled.
