About The Opportunity
The U.S. Majors Markets District Vice President (DVP) role offers a unique opportunity to lead a team of Sales Representatives and Account Executives within one of Dayforce’s top-performing and fastest-growing sales organizations. This group focuses on delivering best-in-class HCM solutions to major market clients and seeks a leader who can drive new business growth while fostering a high-performance, results-oriented environment. The DVP directs and oversees sales activity and is responsible for district financial performance, including achieving sales quotas, managing expense budgets, and delivering accurate sales forecasts. As a member of the Sales leadership team, this role also helps develop and implement process improvements, employee development initiatives, and strategic programs that support continued organizational growth.
Responsibilities
- Direct and lead all sales activities within the assigned territory or area of responsibility.
- Contribute to and implement tactical sales strategies and marketing initiatives.
- Maximize sales performance by meeting and exceeding assigned sales quotas and objectives.
- Ensure a highly effective sales management process is consistently followed.
- Drive qualification and opportunity management activities in alignment with the current sales process.
- Ensure new prospects are consistently added to the sales pipeline.
- Provide accurate forecasting, budgeting, and other required management reporting.
- Ensure effective utilization of Salesforce and other sales automation tools.
- Support direct reports with deal strategy and contract negotiations.
- Develop and maintain executive-level relationships with high-value clients throughout the district.
- Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing sales team with the skills and experience needed to achieve business objectives.
- Set clear expectations for direct reports and manage performance according to established guidelines.
- Analyze sales activity and performance metrics to identify opportunities for individual and team improvement.
- Ensure Dayforce values, policies, and standards are consistently upheld.
- Build and maintain product and industry expertise by completing product certifications and participating as a certifier.
- Support broader corporate initiatives, including marketing programs, sales strategy development, and departmental planning.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- 10+ years of sales experience.
- 3+ years of proven success in a sales leadership role.
- In-depth knowledge of and experience selling cloud HCM software.
- Proven success selling complex technology solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to execute business objectives, build C-level relationships, and lead through influence.
- Strong business acumen, integrity, sense of urgency, work ethic, and results-driven mindset.
- Valid driver’s license.
