DVM Student Externship - Verden Veterinary Clinic

About the role

We're seeking 1st through 4th year veterinary students who are compassionate, team players, and strong communicators. This externship provides paid hours, 1:1 mentorship, and guidance.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians in providing care to a variety of animals, including dogs, cats, and larger livestock.
• Participate in routine check-ups, vaccinations, spay/neuter procedures, and other medical treatments.
• Learn and apply veterinary knowledge under supervision.
• Communicate effectively with clients to ensure they understand their pet's health and treatment plans.
• Support the hospital's mission of providing quality care and fostering a welcoming environment for all patients and clients.

Requirements

• Must be an active veterinary student from an AVMA accredited institution.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team setting.
• Passion for veterinary medicine and a commitment to learning and growth.
