About the Role

PAWSitive Veterinary of New York offers veterinary students an externship program with paid hours, one-on-one mentorship, and future opportunity preferences, including ownership pathways. The program provides hands-on experience in a collaborative, team-based veterinary environment using the latest technology.

Responsibilities

• Participate in exams, vaccines, parasite prevention, veterinary testing, and nutrition advice
• Assist with gentle veterinary care and clear guidance for ill or injured pets
• Support referral coordination for emergency cases to trusted local clinics
• Work within a team-based veterinary approach using advanced technology
• Engage in veterinary learning and celebrate achievements in medicine

Qualifications

• Must be an active veterinary student from an AVMA-accredited institution
• 1st through 4th year veterinary students eligible
• Compassionate, team player, and strong communicator
