Horizon Veterinary Specialists is a privately owned and rapidly growing, fast-paced emergency and specialty hospital located in beautiful Ventura, California. Founded in August 2018 by five board certified veterinarians, the goal is to inspire positive change in the veterinary community for both patients and the professionals who dedicate themselves to veterinary medicine. With a state-of-the-art facility and a focus on positive, inclusive, and educational culture, the Horizon Partners have built a team of kind-hearted, dedicated, and motivated professionals.

The emergency and critical care team at Horizon provides services 24/7 to small animal patients of Ventura and the surrounding counties. The emergency department supports walk-in emergencies as well as referrals from the primary veterinarian community. They have a large, fully equipped, multi-unit ICU with a separate room for isolation and a room just for cats. Their emergency department team has access to internal medicine services six days a week for supportive services and consultation.

Qualifications

Must be an Active Veterinary Student from an AVMA Accredited Institution.
