About the role

Swansboro Animal Hospital Emergency and Trauma Center is a busy emergency medicine private practice located in Swansboro, NC 28584 on the beautiful North Carolina coast. The hospital has been open for two years, is growing exponentially, and is working toward VECCS certification and expansion into a 24‑hour emergency facility. The practice offers progressive, high‑quality medicine with state‑of‑the‑art equipment including high‑resolution DR radiography, ultrasound, endoscope, Ligasure, full in‑house blood analyzers (blood gas, typing, cortisol, bile acids, clotting times), digital cytology, fecal/urine analyzers, oxygen kennels, extensive monitoring, a large surgery suite, central lines, and a full pharmacy. The team consists of five licensed technicians, numerous assistants and receptionists who are dedicated to saving pets. The area offers kayaking, paddle boarding, boating, hiking, trail walking, shark tooth searching, historical sites, and easy access to Wilmington and Raleigh for city life.

Qualifications

Must be an active veterinary student enrolled in an AVMA‑accredited institution.
