Dutch Language Expert – Australia (AI Training)
About the role
What if your fluency in Dutch could directly shape how AI evaluates professionals across global Dutch-speaking markets — all from the comfort of your home in Australia? We're looking for Dutch language experts based in Australia to evaluate and improve AI-generated recruitment assessments, ensuring the AI is accurate, fair, and grounded in professional Dutch-language norms. Australia has a vibrant Dutch expat and diaspora community, and your native-level fluency is exactly what this project needs. You'll review AI outputs, audit Dutch-language resumes and candidate profiles, and apply the kind of nuanced human judgement that AI cannot replicate. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. No tech background needed — just a deep command of Dutch, sound professional judgement, and a sharp eye for quality.
Responsibilities
- Review AI-generated assessments of job candidates against complex job descriptions and requirements within Dutch-speaking markets
- Perform detailed Match Classifications (Match, Partial Match, No Match) based strictly on source evidence from Dutch resumes and LinkedIn profiles
- Enforce critical safety guardrails by identifying and blocking "Forbidden to Evaluate" criteria (e.g., protected characteristics, personality traits, and legal non-inference data)
- Conduct rigorous Explanation Quality Reviews to detect AI hallucinations, unsupported claims, or grammatical flaws in Dutch-language outputs
- Suggest clear, idiomatic, and contextually appropriate improvements to the AI's written tone and reasoning
- Work independently and asynchronously — fully on your own schedule (approx. 15–20 minutes per in-depth evaluation)
Requirements
- Native or near-native fluency in Dutch (strictly required to analyse nuanced professional text and local recruitment terminology)
- Strong written communication skills in Dutch and English (for project guidelines)
- Naturally detail-oriented with a consistent, methodical approach to evaluation and close reading
- Comfortable following dense, comprehensive rubrics with numerous complex edge cases
- Strong ethical awareness regarding legally sensitive hiring categories and workplace diversity
- Able to articulate clear reasoning behind your quality and matching judgements
- Self-motivated and reliable when working independently
Qualifications
- Nice to have: Experience in Recruitment, HR, Talent Acquisition, or People Operations — in Australian or Dutch-speaking markets
- Nice to have: Background in translation, localization, editing, QA, or data annotation
- Nice to have: Knowledge of differences between Netherlands Dutch and Belgian Dutch (Flemish)
- Nice to have: Experience with quality assurance, research, or critical analysis
