About the role
As a Retail Store Associate at Duluth Trading Company, you’ll strive to deliver our “Go for WOW!” standard of customer service—treating every customer right and creating special experiences by going above and beyond.
Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive product knowledge to provide solution-oriented, friendly service.
- Center every interaction around the customer, from greeting to fitting room to checkout.
- Communicate current sales and promotions effectively.
- Capture customer emails as part of sales and service.
- Proactively resolve customer concerns with positive, empowered solutions.
- Answer telephones courteously, providing store greetings, directions, and processing orders.
- Assist in receiving, processing, and replenishing merchandise.
- Maintain merchandising, presentation, and display standards.
- Keep the sales floor, stockroom, restrooms, cash wrap, and hospitality area clean and customer-ready.
- Process register transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and practices.
- Perform additional duties as directed by management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Retail experience preferred but not required.
- Customer-centric mindset with pride in a job well done and ownership of the store.
- Operates with integrity and trust.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Collaborates and functions as part of a team.
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Environmental Factors
- Ability to stand or walk for up to eight hours a day.
- Frequent reaching, bending, and twisting—below waist and above shoulders.
- Frequent use of repetitive hand-to-finger motions and reaching with hands and arms.
- Frequently lift up to 20 pounds; occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
- Push/pull up to 20 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders, reach, and bend.
- Work in temperatures ranging from 50–85 degrees, especially in stockroom areas.
- Use of a computer up to 60% of the time throughout the day.

Pay
