About the role

As a dual student at Kaufland, you’ll join a strong team from day one and have the chance to showcase your potential. Over three years, you’ll alternate between theory and practice, actively contributing ideas and driving improvements—from identifying opportunities to implementing them. You’ll gain broad insights across departments such as assortment planning, procurement, and delivery control, and take on early leadership responsibilities, for example as a temporary substitute for a department manager. You’ll also support the analysis of business performance metrics. Theory phases take place at the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW) Heilbronn.

Responsibilities

• Participate in hands-on projects and process optimizations in retail operations
• Learn and understand all areas and workflows in our stores, including assortment, ordering, and delivery checks
• Take on early responsibility, e.g., as a temporary substitute for a department manager
• Support evaluation of business performance metrics

Requirements

• Completed half-year report, high school diploma (Abitur), or advanced technical college entrance qualification (Fachabitur)
• Passion for food and interest in learning about ordering, sales, and retail operations
• Confident communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to relocate regionally to gain experience in different stores
• High motivation, reliability, and flexibility to work around store opening hours
