Dual 1L and 2L Position (2027 and 2028 Summer Program)

Maslon LLP · Tohatchi, NM · 1 wk ago
LegalFull-time

Maslon LLP, a flourishing mid-sized law firm in Minneapolis, is looking for highly motivated, mature, and creative individuals with varied backgrounds, superior academic credentials, and significant personal achievements to join its 2027 Summer Associate Program.

About the role

Unlike larger firms, our size allows us to provide summer associates with a variety of rich experiences through meaningful work assignments, observation opportunities, pro bono experiences, and social interactions. Our goal is to give summer associates a thorough understanding of who we are, the work we do, and the clients we serve.

  • Meaningful, Hands-On Work: Summer associates work on projects similar to those given to junior attorneys, providing a realistic look into associate life at Maslon.
  • Real Client Interaction: The flatter structure at Maslon offers more opportunities for summer associates to work closely with partners and clients, including attending client meetings and/or court appearances.
  • Mentoring: Summer associates are paired with three mentors: a partner mentor, associate mentor, and writing mentor. Mentorship continues after the program, with associates paired with a partner mentor to guide their development toward partnership.
  • Collegial Culture: Maslon fosters an inclusive and supportive environment where colleagues get to know each other on both personal and professional levels.
  • Advancement: The summer program serves as a pathway to law firm associate opportunities at Maslon for those who demonstrate intelligence, creativity, and a hunger for hands-on experience.

Requirements

  • Superior academic credentials
  • Significant personal achievements
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong desire to be a great colleague and exceptional performer

Pay

The firm’s expected hiring range for this position is $3,650 per week.

Offers will be given for both the 1L and 2L summer programs, with the expectation that 1L summer associates will return for their 2L summer.
