DSW Asset Protection Supervisor
About the role
The Asset Protection Supervisor is responsible for executing and directing the company’s Asset Protection, Shortage Control, and Safety programs at the store level. This role supervises Loss Prevention Associates in monitoring the physical protection and safety standards for the store’s merchandise, physical structure, customers, and associates. The supervisor acts as a deterrent to dishonest activity and may make apprehensions as required. They detect, report, and resolve issues related to safety, inventory shrink, cash handling, theft, and provide customer service according to company standards.

- Coach and train Asset Protection Associates and Greeters in executing the company’s Asset Protection program.
- Create a strong and visible presence of the Asset Protection team in the store.
- Schedule, supervise, and direct Asset Protection Associates across one or multiple stores, following store manager/RAPM guidance as needed.
- Demonstrate business acumen, including analyzing shrink results and using AP key Risk Indicator Reporting and technology for strategic decision-making.
- Assist in recruiting and training new Asset Protection Associates.
- Supervise and execute all required audits and reporting for Asset Protection programs.
- Detect and deter individuals involved in dishonest or illicit activity, including physically detaining shoplifters when necessary.
- Enforce company standards related to security and safety procedures.
- Train new hire associates on asset protection and safety procedures.
- Partner with Store Management to address operational deficiencies and solve Asset Protection issues.
- Build a high-performing team through collaboration, timely feedback, and clear direction.
- Deliver results by setting expectations, managing performance, and ensuring accountability.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $22.90 - $28.60 per hour. The successful candidate’s actual pay rate will consider factors such as skill sets, relevant experience, training, location, and organizational needs. This position may also be eligible for additional incentive compensation, including bonuses or other variable pay, subject to program requirements and company discretion. Benefits eligibility, including health insurance, paid or unpaid time off, and retirement benefits, may vary based on location and position.
