About the role

AHRC Nassau provides OPWDD-approved Day Habilitation Services in Brookville, located at Wheatley Farm. This position operates Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, with a total of 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Transports volunteers to and from the program site, as well as to volunteer job opportunity locations, or other community-based activities
• Aids volunteers in achieving success and satisfaction in personal growth and their community-based endeavors
• Aids volunteers and visitors in caring for farm animals, providing necessary support for grounds maintenance and horticulture programs

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or equivalent
• Good oral and written communication skills
• A valid NYS Driver’s License and remains a qualified driver
• AMAP/First Aid/CPR/SCIP-R Training preferred
• One year experience supporting people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities preferred

Pay

The starting pay scale for this position is $15.00, with experience up to $16.00.

Schedule

This position operates Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
