About the role
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer – DSP Software. In this role, you will be contributing to the development of Autonomous/ADAS/AD/HAD/Active Safety Projects. This position is located at our Indiana Technical Center in Carmel, IN (relocation offered within the USA).
Responsibilities
- Develop and integrate embedded software for Radar DSP in support of Adjacent Markets.
- Develop software, create and execute designs for new functionality, or enhance existing functionality for projects such as: next generation automotive radars, tracking and sensor fusion algorithms, features like ACC, FCW/AEB, Vehicle Controls, Blind Spot Detection, etc.
- Develop software in low-level code in C/C++.
- Test software using debuggers, emulators, and simulators; perform software quality assurance activities; write unit and integration tests.
- Work collaboratively and professionally with other teams within the project.
- Collaborate and add value through participation in peer code reviews, providing comments and suggestions.
- Perform technical root cause analysis and outline corrective action for given problems.
- Demonstrate proficiency using software engineering tools (configuration management systems, build processes, debuggers, emulators, simulators, and logic analyzers).
- Work in an agile software development environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a Technical Discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in embedded software design and development.
- Digital Signal Processing experience.
- Must be legally able to work in the U.S. without requirement of any type of visa sponsorship or transfer, now, or at any time in the future.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a Technical Discipline.
- Experience with MathWorks MATLAB.
- Experience or courses with linear algebra.
- Experience with automated testing.
- Multi-core/processor system implementation knowledge and experience.
- Experience on device driver development, CAN / CAN FD communication, SPI, MCAL.
- Experience on memory management, memory optimizations, performance measurement, and tuning.
- Embedded development experience in Radar or other perception systems.
- Experience on Ethernet and CAN communication.
- Understanding and experience on ISO26262 compliance software design and development.
- Embedded OS (POSIX or non-POSIX) understanding and experience.
- Experience in AUTOSAR software development or integration projects.
- ADAS software development experience.
