About the role

We are seeking a part-time Direct Support Professional in our HBCS (Home and Community Based Services) program who is passionate about working with individuals with disabilities in the North Phoenix/Cave Creek area. This role includes providing assistance to individuals living on their own by taking them out into the community, assisting with daily in-home tasks, and providing behavioral support.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to individuals with disabilities in community settings
• Assist with daily in-home tasks
• Provide behavioral support

Requirements

• Desire and interest in working with people with disabilities or special needs
• Demonstrate knowledge of and respect for cultural differences
• At least eighteen (18) years of age
• Verbal and written communication skills adequate for the job
• Ability to successfully pass a background check with Arizona Central Registry and Arizona Adult Protective Services
• Obtain Level One Fingerprint Clearance
• Specific language abilities (other than English) may be required
• Reliable transportation to the work site and for transporting people, if applicable
• Access to a telephone
• Ability to meet minimum training requirements and complete renewals as assigned

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ if required to drive an approved RISE vehicle; to qualify must pass a drug test, maintain a valid driver’s license, and submit an acceptable driving record
• If using a personal vehicle for transporting people, must provide current auto insurance that meets minimum requirements of RISE insurance policies

Pay

Direct Support Professional hourly rate is $16.15.
