Responsibilities
- Help individuals achieve their personal goals and fulfill their dreams with a “person-centered” focus.
- Teach independent living and daily skills to the individuals, identifying and meeting their social, environmental, and health care needs.
- Plan, coordinate, and participate in social activities and community outings with the individuals.
- Instruct, support, and assist in performing household tasks such as cleaning, preparing meals, and shopping for groceries.
Qualifications
- Earned High School Diploma or GED from an accredited educational institution.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Able to communicate effectively with the individuals to whom services are provided.
- Experience in a residential setting serving people with intellectual/developmental disabilities or with other types of special needs populations.
