About the role

Eastern State Hospital is seeking dependable, hardworking individuals to assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients.

Responsibilities

• Maintain floors by sweeping, mopping, buffing, scrubbing, stripping, sealing, waxing, and disinfecting.
• Care for daily restroom and bathing facilities, disinfecting and sanitizing fixtures.
• Clean and maintain furniture, including beds, nightstands, lockers, chairs, tables, and desks.
• Operate and maintain custodial equipment, such as mop buckets and buffers.
• Perform safety checks and report hazards.
• Clean isolation wards according to safety protocols.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow directions.
• Record keeping skills.
• Equipment know-how.
• Understanding of safety rules.
• Janitorial knowledge.
• Power equipment skills.
• Flexibility to adjust routines.
