About the role

This opportunity resides with Warfare Systems (WS), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. Warfare Systems comprises cyber and mission IT; electronic warfare; and C5ISR systems.

Responsibilities

• Researches, designs, develops, and/or modifies enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software.
• Involves in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards.
• Evaluates interface between hardware and software, operational requirements, and characteristics of overall system.
• Documents testing and maintenance of system corrections.
• Develops and enhances Single Page Applications (SPAs) using TypeScript and modern JavaScript frameworks such as React.
• Led user experience modernization initiatives, creating responsive, accessible, and intuitive interfaces that improve usability and adoption.
• Implements workflow interfaces and automates business processes through integrations with SharePoint Framework (SPFx), SharePoint APIs, Microsoft Graph API, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
• Designs and develops RESTful APIs and service layers to support seamless front-end and back-end integration.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver rapid iterative enhancements in an Agile environment.
• Applies secure application development practices throughout the software development lifecycle to meet DoD security and compliance requirements.
• Performs unit testing, integration testing, and supports end-to-end quality assurance activities.
• Documents technical solutions, user guides, and system configurations as required.
• Performs additional duties as assigned or required to advance mission goals.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue) and responsive UI/UX development.
• Experience with modern state management (Context API, TanStack Query, Redux, or equivalent).
• Experience with REST API development and integration with front-end applications.
• Solid understanding of Agile and iterative development methodologies.
• Experience working with stakeholders to translate business processes into software requirements and solutions.
• Ability to work independently while thriving in collaborative team settings.
• Self-motivated initiator with strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
• Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active Secret clearance at the time of consideration.
• Remote-eligible position; must align with Eastern Time Zone core business hours.

Pay

Anticipated Salary Range: $110,000.00 - $135,000.00
