About the role

We are looking for a Production Associate/Dryfold Worker at our Madison, TN Healthcare Laundry facility. The primary responsibility is performing tasks in any of the production function areas in accordance with Novo Health Services Standard Operating Procedures. Tasks include soiled linen separation, hand folding, ironing, operating washing and drying equipment, and load building. This role requires confidence in decision-making, quick action, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Take items as they come out of the washer or ironer and hand fold, stack, and place them on the appropriate cart for transporting to the next stage of the process.
• Remove product from the previous process, identify the number of items per stack, and pull carts to the work area, adjusting the cart to a comfortable waist level.
• Fold items and place them on the appropriate cart or table; for larger items, participate in group folding.
• Run clean product through the ironer, catch it as it comes out, and count it for folding or the next stage of production.
• Lift flat sheets and blankets from baskets or feed tables, feed them into the spreader and ironer, and catch items as they exit the ironer, inspecting for quality.
• Load various types of linen items according to individual client orders, ensuring proper order and correct cart prior to delivery.
• Identify different lines of linen products and their respective functions; build bulk carts by filling them with individual linen products.
• Read individual customer tickets to ensure the proper product and count are loaded into the cart.
• Weigh carts in/out and enter data into a computer program using a hand-held electronic scanner.
• Adhere to all quality standards and safety procedures associated with the tasks.
• Assist in other areas as directed by team leaders or management; perform other duties as required.

Requirements

• Previous production experience with a quality orientation preferred.
• High School Education, GED, or formal education/training preferred.
• Good analytical skills to determine the number of carts required for orders.
• 1 to 2 years of experience in manufacturing, production, or service industry.
• Ability to work in a noisy, fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, reach, and stack items for long periods.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and push or pull carts weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Demonstrated customer service and organization skills.

Work Environment

Work is performed in a fast-paced indoor production area with little exposure to dust and high temperatures, moderate exposure to noise, and a climate-controlled environment. Travel is not required.
