Dryer Operator - Nights (Biospringer)

About the role

Biospringer is a division of Lesaffre, a global leader in the fermentation of microorganisms for various applications including food, healthcare, and industrial biotechnology.

Responsibilities

• Dryer Operator: Ensure liquid intermediate product is spray dried, meeting all specifications, and adhering to safety, quality, and food safety protocols.
• Manage and monitor up to 3 spray drying equipment.
• Train and assist in other departments as needed to meet customer requirements.
• Sanitize equipment, infrastructure, and grounds.
• Maintain quality assurance controls, including product analysis and code date verifications.
• Operate packing line safely and efficiently.
• Inspect and report on dryer infrastructure and equipment maintenance needs.
• Communicate and troubleshoot equipment and process issues with management.
• Learn and operate all drying equipment.
• Work shifts as scheduled and assist in other departments as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or 3 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to follow instructions, learn, and ask questions.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Good interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage time and work independently.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Forklift certification required.
• Physical ability to lift up to 60 pounds and perform physical tasks.
