Essential Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments of raw materials, maintenance parts, lab supplies, chemicals and deliveries from Fed Ex and UPS.
- Accurately receive raw materials into the inventory system. Log other deliveries and distribute to department or addressee as needed.
- Maintain organization of the warehouse so all materials are pulled FIFO; maintain all raw materials in a manner consistent with QA Standards.
- Stage packaging, communicate with hostler and other operators to ensure adequate material is available timely throughout the day.
- Maintain storage trailer inventory and trailer board. Communicate with carrier logistic departments on empties.
- Experience with Stand Up Fork trucks or Bendi Articulated fork trucks a must.
- Retrieve/pushing away pallets as high as 24 feet.
- Follow established SOPs to maintain efficient running of the dry warehouse.
- Receive and supervise bulk chemical deliveries, assist production in keeping chemical barrels stocked and clean out empties.
- Responsible for monthly drain cleaning, as well as ensuring a safe and clean environment throughout the warehouse on a daily basis.
Other Required Responsibilities
- Assist in other plant operations and activities as time permits.
Physical Requirements
- Must possess the physical ability to work the entire shift standing and in temperatures ranging between 80-34 degrees will be a requirement.
- Standing, walking, climbing, repetitive bending, repetitive stooping, repetitive reaching with arms and repetitive grasping with hands and fingers.
- Must have the ability to lift 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Must be able to work safely in a challenging environment working around production machines, warehouse equipment, forklifts, large trucks, and tankers.
