Dry Stack Driver

Duties & Responsibilities

• Aid owners and crew with berthing and un-berthing boats.
• Ensure boats in the marina are properly stacked at all times.
• Prevent hazards caused by mooring lines, electrical cables, boat overhangs, or other materials.
• Comply with OSHA and environmental regulations regarding boat blocking.
• Verify berth occupancy and license validity.
• Check forklift oil and fuel levels.
• Perform routine cleaning, repairs, and maintenance.
• Assist with other duties as requested by the General Manager.

Minimum Qualifications And Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Good general knowledge of boats, boat-handling, knots, and splices.
• Preferably with an appropriate certificate of competency.
• Experience in boat hoist, dry stack, and similar operations.
• Experience operating a forklift or willingness to learn to operate one.
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays, early mornings, and evenings.
• Strong passion for providing excellent hospitality and customer service.
• Thorough understanding of all marina operations.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Capable of making independent decisions.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work.
• Adaptable to a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Carry up to 50 lbs.
• Work around water.
• Work in tight spaces.
• Work at heights of up to 30 feet.
• Stand, walk, sit, push, pull, climb, bend, kneel, squat, twist, reach, grasp.
