Dry Packaging Operator - Night Shift

Hours: 10pm - 6am Sunday–Thursday

Pay

All-in hourly compensation: $24.28/hr

• Base Pay: $20.96/hr
• 10% Shift Differential for Night Shift: $2.10/hr
• Sign-on Bonus: $1.22/hr worked

Profit Sharing Eligibility: begins after completing 1 year of employment ($7.7 million paid to profit-sharing pool in 2025)

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the general operation of a packaging line to ensure continuous quality, efficiency, sanitation, and safety
• General knowledge of daily extrusion and production reports
• Communicate with supervisors and extruder operators on production concerns, product times, and bin space
• Start and set up all required equipment for production
• Control packaging materials, code dates, expiration dates, stickers, and product specifications
• Monitor product quality, packaging quality, contamination, weight controls, and line efficiency
• Perform general maintenance, repairs, equipment adjustments, changeovers, and troubleshooting
• Complete daily reports legibly and assist with special projects as assigned
• Assist in controlling packaging from the warehouse and supervising line workers
• Assist other lines as needed, train line workers, and perform other assigned duties
• Coordinate record-keeping, including cleaning schedules, packaging yields, and efficiency
• Assist supervisors in controlling the packaging area

Requirements

• General mathematical ability and basic computer skills
• Ability to climb heights (up to 150 feet)
• Meet physical requirements of the position, including handling weights up to 65 lbs routinely
• Willingness to work assigned hours and shifts, including filling in on other shifts as required
• Ability to read, speak, write, and understand English
• Ability to work in loud, dusty, and occasionally hot environments
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others
