Responsibilities
- Operate and use required equipment as needed for various job duties.
- Maintain and perform basic maintenance functions on assigned equipment.
- Submit work orders for maintenance activity and report all maintenance needed and completed during shift.
- Ensure equipment, conveyors, and work area are clean at the end of the shift.
- Follow JHA and other safety protocols, including reporting safety hazards and work-related injuries.
- Operate and navigate assigned equipment (track hoe, front-end loader, bobcat, etc.) in ship/ barge holds, deck, and dock areas.
- Perform pre-job inspections and periodic maintenance on assigned equipment.
- Act as signalman for other equipment operators and crane operators.
- Complete daily inspection reports and forward to maintenance as needed.
- Report all incidents through company’s reporting protocol.
- Support company safety initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Must have 3+ years of experience operating equipment (forklift, track hoe, etc.).
- Train to Operator D-9 Dozer and other heavy equipment.
- Must have or be able to obtain a TWIC card.
- Must possess and maintain a valid US driver’s license.
- Must pass pre-employment testing including a drug test, physical, and background check.
